Real Madrid defender Alvaro Arbeloa has lashed out a his Spanish teammate Gerard Pique for the lack of respect.
Arbeloa replied to the Pique’s comment, who said that “Arbeloa is not a friend, just someone I know”, while Barca man also used derogatory term to define him.
The Real Madrid defender has clarified that he has huge respect for Pique’s family, and accused former Manchester United star for disrespecting his family.

“Many people told me ‘You have to respond’,” the 33-year-old said. “I have digested it enough.
“You usually heat up and respond straight away, but later you realise it is better to let the situation cool over and not say certain things.
“I could explain to the world why I’m no friend of Pique’s, but maybe he wouldn’t be in a very good way,” the Madrid player told lalagerna.com.

“It’s also true that I know his family, and the respect I have for his family, he doesn’t have for mine.
“Our families are so important. We hear many stupid things about us [as players] and shake them off more or less, but those who are close to us suffer for them.
“With that in mind, I chose not to answer, but if he had attacked Real Madrid again, I would’ve done so because I’ll always defend this club.
“Thinking about that, I preferred not to respond. If he attacked Real Madrid once again, I would have jumped, because I will defend them always.
“To attack me is different. This is my form of acting. To not respond is better than to say things that could have been said.”
“If he attacked me [personally], it’s different. It’s my way of being. Not answering to him is better than saying some of things I could.”
