Real Madrid still fighting against Copa del Rey expulsion?

Florentino Perez says that Real Madrid will continue fighting against Copa del Rey expulsion, as he is planning to take further legal action.

Los Blancos’s appeal is already rejected by  Competition Committe, Appeals Committee  and Spain’s Administrative Tribunal for Sport, after they were expelled from Spanish Cup competition for fielding suspended Denis Cheryshev against Cadiz.

However, Florentino Perez pleaded Real Madrid’s innocence and claimed both player and club were not informed about the suspension, and vows to take further action.

It’s true that [Cheryshev] didn’t know [about his ineligibility] and neither did we,” he told Cadena SER .

“The rules say [his suspension] is only effective if it’s communicated personally to the player.

“We’ll see what TAD says. Otherwise, we’ll go to the Contentious-Administrative courts.

“The issue of communicating bans to players isn’t a good one, but this [case] will serve to improve things from now on.

“There’s been no booing of the players. The worse the players are, the more you have to support them.

“The club members show every day that they’re with me. When they’re not, only then will I leave.

“Unless something unforeseen happens, we’re not considering the possibility [of making signings in January].

“[On appointing a sporting director], we don’t need one.

“When Madrid make a signing, it’s a sporting and economic equation. We’re not like any other club.

“I couldn’t understand the game we played [the 4-0 against Barca]. We weren’t ourselves and the mood of the team fell apart.

“We also lost 5-0 at Camp Nou, but it’s not a problem as you can lose at any time.

“We won 4-0 at Bayern, but the stadium didn’t catch fire. It wasn’t a tragedy.

“Barcelona also conceded four against Athletic [Bilbao] and Celta [Vigo] and not much were made of them.

“The day we played Getafe [a fortnight ago], there was a conspiracy against us.”
