Zinedine Zidane: I asked Real Madrid to sign this Liverpool legend
Zinedine Zidane has revealed that he asked Real Madrid to sign Steven Gerrard, and says he would have loved to have played alongside him and his former England teammate Paul Scholes.
Zidane was asked to name his best all time premier league-11, and the Real Madrid boss reserved special praise for Manchester United and Liverpool legend.

“For a time he was the best midfield player in the world. I told Madrid I wanted to play alongside him, but he was loyal to Liverpool. That was lucky for them, because he was a pleasure to watch and the complete midfield player,” he said.
“One of my favorite players from any era, he was a player who made the hardest things look so easy.

While, Real Madrid home-grown defender Diego Llorent, who is currently loan at Rayo Vallecano has admitted he has a dream of playing for Los Blancos.
“I will give my best to fulfill this dream I’ve had since I was a child, which is playing for Real Madrid, the team that has seen me grown since I was an Under-9.”
