Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has warned  Cristiano Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema that they have to realize their defensive duties and has called for collective focus.

Under the previous setups, defending was not much of part of Real Madrid front-three’s jobs, which will certainly change under newly appointed Zinedine Zidane, who has suggested that a team cannot afford to allow two are three players to forget their defensive duties:

[Ronaldo] is more than non-transferable,” he said.

“He is the soul of this team and won’t be going anywhere while I’m in charge.

“When we don’t have the ball, everyone will work hard. You can’t have two or three players who don’t defend

“First I want to thank [Florentino Perez] for giving me the opportunity to coach this team,” Zidane told reporters.

“We have the best club in the world and the best fans in the world, and what I have to do is try my best for the team to win something at the end of the year.

“I can only say that I will do everything, the best with all of the players, and I think it will work out alright, nothing more.

“The important thing is tomorrow, to be with the team and to work.

“Today is an important day for me and I am a little emotional, more than when I signed as a player, but that’s normal.

“I will put all my heart into this club and my intention is that everything goes well”
