Why Marcelo thinks Real Madrid has no attitude problem?

Brazilan fullback Marcelo says Real Madrid has not attitude problem, and feels all players have to work hard to get their league campaign back on track.

After suffering back to back defeats against Sevilla and their arch-rivals Barcelona, Real Madrid earned back to back victories over Eibar and Getafe, it seemed like  Los Blancos are gaining much needed momentum in the title race, however 1-0 loss at Villarreal has raised fresh questions about Rafael Benítez’s side mentality and attitude.

Real Madrid had the chance to close the gap to 2 points from the top, but Sunady’s loss against Yellow Submarines has left 5 points adrift from the top, with Barcelona and Atletico de Madrid are the joint top.

Since  Rafael Benítez has taken the charge at Santiago Bernabeu, there are frequent rumors of unrest inside the Real Madrid dressing room, and following Weekend’s defeat Spanish Media claimed that former Liverpool has failed to win over the Real Madrid players, while questioning the dedication and attitude of the whole squad.

However,  Marcelo denied the suggestion of attitude issues, and said that players and manager are on the same page.

“It’s not an attitude problem. We tried to do what we did in the second half in the first, but they had more of the ball and performed better than us in that first half, and we paid the price for that.

“It’s annoying, because we were aware of Barcelona’s result and we should have gone out and got the win. There is still a long way to go in the league, we have to keep fighting and work on where we went wrong in training to make sure we challenge. The fans want Real Madrid to win every game, regardless of who we play, but it’s difficult because every team wants to put in a great match against us. We have to pick ourselves up and move on forwards,” he added.
