Zidane comments on his Real Madrid future

Zinedine Zidane has admitted that he is uncertain about his Real Madrid future, after replacing  Rafa Benitez in January.

“When you win matches, it’s always much better,” the Coach said at a Press conference.

“Now we have to think about moving forward. Things will become increasingly difficult.

“Good runs means nothing, so we have to be equally prepared for [Sunday’s] game.

“I’m happy about [Karim Benzema’s straining order being lifted].

“We’ve spoken about it. He knew he had to wait a bit [for things to be sorted out], and I see him looking well.

“He’s already back in training, and it’s always good to see him on the pitch.

“The idea is that he’ll be with us next week. Of course this whole issue was touched, we have spoken many times, but I hope everything will be resolved quickly.

“[On David de Gea’s potential arrival], I’m not planning anything as I don’t know what will happen tomorrow, apart from us playing a game of football.

“What I can say is that I’m very happy with my three goalkeepers, and that’s the most important thing. We’ll see what happens at the end of the season.

“[On Dunga dropping Marcelo for Brazil], I won’t get into whether he should’ve gone or not, but no-one’s spoken to us, it’s a lie. Marcelo is fine and wants to play for both his club and country.

“Rafa [Varane’s] been playing a little less, but we have four phenomenal centre-backs and I’m happy with his work.

“He’s a young player who has learned things very quickly and I’m happy with him.

“There will be decisions for each game. I’m not thinking about a fortnight ago [referring to his performance against Atletico Madrid] but the games ahead.

“Our injuries are becoming less frequent, but the idea is always to have the least possible number of them.

“We’re almost complete and only missing Karim, but what I want is for us to think about the future. What’s happened is in the past.

“[On Paris Saint-Germain being potential Champions League opponents], I am not concerned about our possible opponents in the Champions League and don’t have a preference.

“PSG are phenomenal at the moment. I called [their Coach Laurent] Blanc to talk about other things and congratulated him. They’re a great team.

“[On his future], I can’t say as I don’t know the role I’ll have when I don’t know if I’ll still be here.

“We’ll see what happens at the end of the season. It’s normal that there’s much talk, but I’m only focused on the games.

“At the moment, Casemiro is playing and doing well. [On Sunday] there will be changes, and that’s normal in a team like ours.

“The team are playing well with and without Casemiro. All the players are
