Manchester United striker Anthony Martial has revealed that he is trying to take inspiration from Cristiano Ronaldo.

The French striker admit he is the striker by the trait, but enjoy playing on the wings and wants to emulate Real Madrid striker.

“I am a striker but I love playing wide,’ Martial told Sky Sports.

“The main thing is wherever I play I enjoy it and help the team,’ the Frenchman added.

“I must continue to work hard in training. I need to think more like a goalscorer, sometimes I get so immersed in the game because I love general play so much,’ he said.

“Someone like Cristiano Ronaldo focuses on scoring to progress, so perhaps I need to think more about scoring.’

“I don’t go out a lot as I like to stay in,” he said.

“I often go for dinners with my girlfriend and I love to see movies at the cinema but I don’t understand them. We go for walks and to the shops.”

While, Chelsea‘s youngster Charly Musonda has revealed that he idolized Cristiano Ronaldo as kid. 

“I really liked Cristiano Ronaldo back at Manchester United when I was young. He was an idol for me. But I am now doing my own thing and enjoying himself.

“Of course, I also look at other players to improve my own game. I enjoy watching players who are enjoying themselves on the pitch, like Neymar and Lionel Messi. I can identify myself with players like them.”
