LFP  President Javier Tebas revealed that the date and the time of the derby between Real Madrid and  Atletico will not change.

Atletico has prior Champions League first leg tie away from home with PSV Eindhoven on February 24, before facing Real Madrid on following Sunday, and there were hoping that LFP would reschedule the derby.

“If we look at the newspaper archive I think Valencia have complained about the same thing, and Madrid and Barcelona,” Tebas said, Marca reports.

“This happens several times throughout the season with those that play Champions League midweek. This is the way, this is the calendar and its right. There are joint interests and that’s when it will be played.

“The change is totally ruled out. Saturday at 16:00 [local time] is the premium time for television.”

While speaking about the transfer ban been imposed on both Madrid clubs, Javier Tebas said that transfer embargos given to Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico is strange.
