Why Sergio Ramos is happy with Real Madrid display, despite of Manchester City settlement?
Sergio Ramos remains positive about Real Madrid display after they played for 0-0 draw at Manchester City.
“We played in spite of Cristiano’s injury and Benzema wasn’t comfortable. We have the advantage of a large squad, and the younger players can show their face,” Ramos told reporters, according to AS, when asked about injuries in the team.

“That’s what is going to make us do well in this competition. We always want to have all of our players but despite the injuries, we played a great game.
“Cristiano is fundamental to us. I don’t know if he’ll be in the return leg. It depends on how his injury evolves and what the doctors say. Hopefully he can be.”

“Whenever you’re away first you always want a goal, but no luck. I’m happy with the team’s attitude and the game that was played. We played like a home game,” the captain continued.
“City have players who can destabilise you and when you stop to think, they take advantage. Maximum concentration is required.
“We call for our supporters in the return leg to support us and hopefully we can enjoy another final.”
Marcelo rejects the claims that Real Madrid played for draw, and feels David Silva’s injury worked in their favor after he was withdrawn at the end of first half.
“I didn’t see it like that. It’s hard to play against a strong team who want possession and we did what we could. In the second half we attacked more, we had more chances to win. We didn’t set out for the draw,” AS reports Marcelo saying.
“He’s a great player. We had to keep an eye on him, but everything went well. He’s an important absence, but the team won’t notice,” Marcelo continued.
