Surprising! Former Real Madrid star will support Manchester City over Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals

Robinho has admitted that he will support Manchester City over Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals.

The Brazilian made big money switch from Real Madrid to Manchester City in 2008.

It’s a difficult question, but I’m supporting Manchester City [over Madrid in the CL],” he told ESPN.

“[City] are a team who made a big investment for me, and they’ve yet to win this trophy.

“[On leaving Madrid, Fabio] Capello wasn’t good for Brazilians.

Meanwhile, Keylor Navas believes Real Madrid can win both Champions league, and La-Liga, following Real 5-0 win over Getafe.

“I thank God that we won, [to have done so] was the most important thing,” he said.

“It was a game we were very solid in defensively, but the most important thing is that the team won and things went well.

“We were very serious in our approach, and I’ve always said that we won’t lower our arms in the League.

“We’re close [to the end of the season] and we know we can go all the way with the chance [of winning titles] if we do our job well.

“I always try to work hard and had to get off my line quickly for the indirect free kick.

“The team feel good, we’re happy to be in the semi-finals and we respect our opponents.

“We must never lose faith and always go forward. We must win our remaining games and fight for the trophies on offer.

“Sometimes we tend to relax after a Champions League game, but the team are aware of what they’re playing for.

“This is what we want, and we’re very happy with today’s work.”
