Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale comments on his return to England
Speaking ahead of the Champions League clash, Real Madrid‘s Gareth Bale admitted “It is exciting to coming back to the England” but says he wants to stay at Real Madrid for longer haul.
“It’s going be a difficult game. We are looking forward to it, we obviously want to win and we fancy ourselves up against anyone and I’m sure it’ll be an exciting game and hopefully we can come out on top,” he said.

“It’s always exciting to go back to England. I don’t think I’ve played a match there since I left so it’d be nice to go back and like I said I’ve scored goals at Man City’s ground before so hopefully I can do it again as well.”
Bale acknowledged the efforts of his former team Tottenham Hotspur to challenge for Premiere league title, and hailed the impact of Mauricio Pochettino.

“They have been amazing this season. I always watch the Premier League every Saturday and Sunday. I have been keeping an eye on Tottenham very closely, they have been doing amazing and it’s going be a close run in for the title. It’s very exciting,” he added, with the prospect of meeting Spurs in Europe next year.
“That would be amazing. Obviously when I left I always wished they would do well and continue on progressing which they have done, and it would be exciting to play them in the Champions League and return to White Hart Lane,” he noted.
“I hope they still love me there. So yeah it would be amazing to go there for a game but hopefully we would win there, but it’s great for them to see what they’re doing and hopefully they can see the run in and get the title.”
