As per Spanish media, Catalan side wants to bring Denis Suarez back before January transfer window slams shut, but Fernando Roig clarified that player will stay El Madrigal at-least until the end of season.

“He’s our player, with one condition, that Barca can take him back at the end of the season,” Roig clarified, AS reports.

“He took over the agreement between Barca and Sevilla but didn’t think about a mid-season return to Barca.

“He’s a very important player for us and there is definitely no agreement for the middle of the season. The end of the season, if Barca decide, is possible.”

According to the reports, Yellow Submarines will only let Denis Suarez leave if they able to sign Real Madrid’s  Denis Cheryshev, having Russian International spent last season at club on loan.

However, Villarreal President admitted that club failed to agree deal with Real Madrid for Russian winger services, after making enquirers for number of times.

We tried [for Cheryshev] but there was no way to agree,” Roig revealed.

“He was an important player last year, he had time and we evaluated him. He had a season of too many injuries at Sevilla and played very well for Villarreal.

“We thought it went well and I imagine he did too. We made the effort, did everything, for him to come back but this is a difficult market.”
