Real Madrid legend has urged not to sell Cristiano Ronaldo

Los Blancos honorary president Paco Gento says Real Madrid should not sell Cristiano Ronaldo in the Summer.

The Portuguese International is facing the prospect of the uncertain future, and has been linked with the move away from Spanish Capital at the end of season.  With Ronaldo’s former club Manchester United and French Champions Paris Saint-Germain are interested to acquire the signature of Real Madrid all time top scorer, and Los Blancos are open to sell him as they are planning massive overhaul for next season.

Speaking to  La Galerna , Six-time European Cup-winning winger said: “No, man, no. Plus, Madrid have never been a selling club, Madrid above all have bought players.

“Madrid should not sell, they should buy. Cristiano knows the people here, and the club love him.”

“Di Stefano was like that too,” he said, referencing the late Argentina and Real Madrid star.

“Cristiano’s gestures are explained as he always wants to be the best, and that is very important.”

“[Bale] should play on the left,” he said. “He says he likes to play on the right, as he has more chances to score goals, but I have seen him on the left and it was sensational. So quick. It was very good. He is different [than me], although with his pace and way of carrying the ball, and giving passes, there are similarities.”

I don’t think England would be a problem for Toni. The only adjustment would be missing Christmas.

“If you are able to play a great ball, you’ll fit in anywhere. There is always a lot of talk around England and Spain. You should only believe it when it is certain.”
