Premier League star: I was right to leave Real Madrid

Inform premier league playmaker  Mesut Ozil says he was right to leave Real Madrid for Arsenal in 2013, and admit he likes living in London.

The former Real Madrid star was  recently linked with the return to Santiago Bernabéu, but German World Cup winner clarified that he is very happy at Arsenal.  Mesut Ozil is one of the most gifted footballer of the current generation, however he came under the severe scrutiny following his high profile move to the Premier League. But, German International is right now in the form of his life, and has helped Gunners to win FA Cup two times in the row.

Mesut Ozil is leading Arsenal’s title charge this season, as he has registered 15 assist this season and on the course of  breaking record of 20 assists in one campaign, with half of season remaining.

The former Real Madrid star is often accused of lacking the desire and conviction to perform in bigger games, but this season he has played a decisive role in Arsenal’s wins over Manchester UnitedBayern Munich and Manchester City.

Speaking to German magazine kicker, Mesut Ozil said:

“The biggest change started when I was injured last year and I changed my diet and started to look at the small details in my life. For example I started to have physiotherapy on my days off and made sure I had a good sleep. That is crucial over here. It is the fastest league in the world and we often play twice a week with no winter break,” he said.

“My contract runs until 2018, that is for another two and a half years. There is no need to hurry. There are no talks at the moment but I can only say that I am very happy in London and that my decision to come here from Real Madrid was the right one.”
