Karim Benzema has responded to French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, who criticized Real Madrid striker for not setting good example.
As it remains unclear whether Karim Benzema will return to French side to represent the Country in the Euro 2016, following his alleged involvement in Mathieu Valbuena sex tape scandal.
“A great athlete should be an example for young people,” Valls reportedly said, according to AS.

“I’m not the President of the France Football Federation nor am I Didier Deschamps [France Coach]. He has to pick the best team possible.
“But I don’t think the conditions are right for Benzema to return to the France team. Football isn’t only for the fans. It’s our heritage. Every gesture is important.”
The Real Madrid man took social media to register his response Valls’ comments.

Former France winger Franck Ribery has backed Benzema to make return to the French side.
Karim is a great player, he showed that at Real Madrid and with the France team,” said Ribery during a Bayern Munich press conference.
“I read that Didier Deschamps wants to take the best to the Euro and Karim certainly belongs to that group.”
While, Publishing company Panini ha confirmed that Valbuena is featured in traditional sticker album for Euro 2016, but not Benzema.
