Why Real Madrid fans has launched petition against Florentino Perez?

Real Madrid fans have started a  petition on Change.org to force club’s president Florentino Perez to resign.

The petition has initiated by Antonio Nieto-Rodriguez, and has already signed with the excess of five thousand users, as Los Blancos supporters has lost their patience with Real Madrid chief.

Real Madrid fans, who were left disappointed with the sacking of Carlo Ancelotti in the summer, after  Los Blancos failed to win any piece of silverware in last campaign.  The Italian coach was very popular among the fans and the players alike, but  Florentino Perez was quick to react at the expense of Real Madrid’s faithful displeasure.

While appointment of Rafa Benitez wasn’t welcomed by Real Madrid fans, as they were not convinced about brand of football former Liverpool, Chelsea and Napoli boss’s side play.

Real Madrid’s display against bigger teams has been far from convincing, while their suffered one of the heaviest defeat in the hands of arch-rivals Barcelona, and fans jeered team and ask   Florentino Perez to step down.

To make their sound vocal, fans have taken further step, as they have come up with the petition in which they highlighted why they want Perez to resign.

“We ask you to take responsibility for the damage you have done to our club since returning to the presidency” and mentions five points, on the grounds of which Perez to step down from his post.

  1. Throwing away hundreds of millions of euros on signings of players who have given us nothing, without any consequences.
  2. Coaches changed almost every year creating a climate of instability in the club and the players. The last one, Benitez, is an absolute disaster.
  3. Absolute lack of vision for the future of our club, both on and off the field.
  4. Destroying the youth, encouraging foreign players.
  5. Manipulating the club statutes to stay in power.
