Why La-Liga president is backing Real Madrid to win El-clasico
La Liga President Javier Tebas believes Real Madrid can surprise Barcelona to win El-clasico, but hailed League leaders display throughout the season.
“In the first leg I backed Barca more. For this game I think Madrid is going to cause a surprise,” he told Onda Cero, Mundo Deportivo reports.
“Although it must be recognised that the level of Barca’s play is stratospheric.”

“You can’t be hypocritical. When I meet with my friends they remind me that I’ve supported Madrid since I was eight,” he said.
“My children also know this and I don’t like to lie. But people have to be clear that my colours don’t influence my decisions.”
Meanwhile, Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan is looking forward to play his first el-classico, but says he had ‘played harder games than this.’

“I’ve been fortunate to have experienced important matches against Madrid but it will be special for me as it will be my first [Clasico],” AS quotes Arda as telling Turkish publication Diari Ara.
“But it’s just a game and if we lose, life remains the same. I’ve played games harder than this.
“We have a lot of advantages, playing at home, with a great atmosphere. In my head it’s easy. Go out and play football without any pressure.”
