Barcelona‘s Ivan Rakitić says he wants Santiago Bernabeu to host Copa Del Rey final, as ‘ we’d like to play at the biggest stadium.
With Barcelona is expecting to defend their Spanish Cup crown in May, Real Madrid‘s home has been proposed as favorite venue.
“It wasn’t difficult to go out and play the game,” the midfielder said after the 1-1 draw at Mestalla.
“We spoke about it [before the game], but we were better than them and Kaptoum scored a good goal. What we did was very good.

“We changed things and it’s important to try things [like we did] in a competitive match. It was important to see [what we tried] go well.
“We came back from a losing position, although the run of 29 games without losing wasn’t an objective. We’d change it for trophies.
“We want to continue playing in important matches and are working hard on many things, but there’s still a lot of the season remaining.
“[On the final venue], we’d like to play at the biggest stadium so we can fit more of our fans.

“Still, we want to win the cup for our families and fans. If Sevilla get into the final, I’d be happy for them.”
While Sports minister Miguel Cardenal wants Copa Del Rey Final to be host at the best location, after Santiago Bernabeu has been suggested.
“On [the ideaof] a fixed venue for Cup Finals I have to say that’s a matter to be decided by the Spanish Football Federation,” Mundo Deportivo quotes Cardenal, the head of the Sports Council [CSD] as saying.
“What I would say is the Final should be played in the best location, with greatest capacity and most comfort for fans.”
