Cristiano Ronaldo has just bagged a new honour, and it has nothing to do with his incredible football skills. The Portuguese player, noted for his handsomeness and his impeccable style, has just been declared the 11th most fashionable athlete by Sports Illustrated!

American publication Sports Illustrated just issued a list of top 20 stylish athletes in the world, and Ronaldo has grabbed the 11th position on this list.Sports Illustrated has described Ronaldo as ‘sleek, slim and sharp’. Rachel Johnson, the CEO of Thomas Faison Agency, has said that Ronaldo’s sense of style is versatile, and the player looks his best when he is in a leather jacket, teamed with a t-shirt and denim pants.

The highest ranking European on the list is tennis player Roger Federer, who has acquired the fourth place. The Swiss player with 8 Wimbledon titles and 19 Grand Slams has been appreciated for appearing suave in classic pieces, like slim suits and blazers.

The highest ranking tennis player on the list, however, is none other than the powerhouse lady, Serena Williams, who has been featured in the third place. Panellist Faye Penn said that when it comes to Serena, strong is not only sexy but also incredibly chic. Her style statement is all about power, and everything flows from there. The other tennis player above Ronaldo are Maria Sharapova at the 10th place.

Most of the positions on this list have been grabbed by stars of American sports like the NBA< Major League Baseball and NHL. The first place has been acquired by Russell Westbrook, who represents the NBA side Oklahoma City Thunder, with Victor Cruz, who plays for the NFL side Chicago Bears.

Walt Clyde Frazier, a member of the six-member panel, and a former NBA player and style icon himself, said that Westbrook’s style is provocative, eccentric and enigmatic. People are not exactly happy with Formula One’s Lewis Hamilton in the 8th place.

Now, the question is, how disappointed will Ronaldo be for not being able to grab the first position?

Ronaldo, who is often seen in denim and white shirts, has recently taken a new step into the world of fashion by declaring the launch of his new CR7 jeans range for men. The look and presentation of the collection is obviously based on Ronaldo’s style, and it is supposed to offer comfort and flexibility of jeans, especially for people who travel a lot, like Ronaldo himself.
