The Ice Bucket Challenge went viral on social media during July–August of 2014. Celebrities from every field took to the challenge, and challenged other layers to do the same. There are several great soccer players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Leo Messi, Neymar Jr. and Mario Balotelli who put all their efforts to make world a better place besides their amazing soccer legacies. They put their effort to support several humanitarian causes and charities as they also showed their active participation when it comes to the Ice Bucket Challenge. The challenge was first started to promote awareness of the ‘amyotrophic lateral sclerosis’ disease and to encourage donations for the purpose of research.
The whole point of the challenge was to challenge and inspire people to become aware of the disease, and make donations for the research of the same.
