Ronaldo Goal Celebration for Sepp Blatter – When CR7 Silenced FIFA Boss

Cristiano Ronaldo has had a lot of criticism, hate and mockery in his career as a footballer. These are obvious things, of course, when you’re a celebrity, and doing something great, in your own way. Yes, Ronaldo’s indomitable spirit, his aggression, his flamboyance – be it on the field or off it – have always been under the scanner. Critics, haters and media have always picked on him.

Even the most famous, most celebrated names in the business have never shied away from criticising him. And one such big shot name is that of former president of FIFA and Swiss football administrator, Sepp Blatter. In an interview, when Blatter was asked to take part in the much-discussed Ronaldo vs Messi debate, Blatter called Messi a good boy and a good player, who gets the votes of the people.

He then went on to talk about Ronaldo, and said that the Real Madrid star is like a commander on the field. He took a jab at Ronaldo’s hairstyles, saying that it is quite obvious who spends more amount on his hairdresser between Messi and Ronaldo, although why and how Ronaldo’s hairstyle is relevant in a comparison between the two players is something that only Blatter might be able to explain.

Anyway, the Swiss football administrator even went on mock Ronaldo, impersonating the Portuguese player’s style and body language on the field. Ronaldo, noted for his fancy ways of giving out just the right kind of reply, kept these comments and the mockery in mind, and gave the appropriate response to the old man, in his very own style.

He made a stunning goal, and to celebrate it, he made the gesture of saluting, in response to Blatter’s “commando” comment! Blatter later apologised to Ronaldo on social media, and said that though he made the comment as a good-natured joke, he values the player and his worth.

Recently, the same Blatter came to Ronaldo’s defence while discussing the tax evasion accusation brought upon the Real madrid player by the Spanish authorities. The 81-year old mentioned that it is the current culture of suspicion in football which is to blame for the situation that Ronaldo is in, at the moment. Players in other elite sports in similar situations do not get such open accusations, according to Blatter.
