Midfielder Marco Asensio has indicated his desire to stay at Real Madrid, as he feels he is ready to claim his place in Los Blancos first team squad.

The 20- years old arrived at Real Madrid from from Mallorca a year and a half ago, and was subsequently sent on loan to  Mallorca and Espanyol.

Asensio is yet to feature in an official game for Real Madrid, however he is hoping that his performance at Espanyol will convince Zidane to give him chance next season.

“My intention is to have a good pre-season with Real Madrid and to stay with them, but if they want to loan me out again, then we will see,” commented Asensio at the presentation of a summer training camp.

“When I was young I used to watch him a lot and I want to be able to learn from him,” said the midfielder, who said he was excited he have been called up by Del Bosque

“It was a dream come true when I saw the squad. I am going to train the best I can and try to learn from the great players in the Spanish national team,” he said.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid‘s midfielder Saul has warned Real Madrid that they are ready to make to  make history, by winning Champions League final in Milan, but insisted Atletico are not looking for revenge of 2014’s final.

“If Real Madrid are a superior team, they will need to prove it on the field,” he told Radio MARCA on Thursday.

“The final in Milan is not a rematch of Lisbon, or a chance for revenge, but rather it is a chance to make history.

“We know that Madrid are a tough team. It will be very difficult [but] I only think about winning.”
