Cristiano Ronaldo‘s future at Real Madrid is hanging in balance, with no team is willing to match Portuguese asking price, according to the according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.

The Portuguese International has been linked with a move away from the Spanish Capital at the end of season, with his former club Manchester United and French Champions Paris Saint-Germain are interested parties, as per Daily Sun.

Balague, in his weekly article for Sky Sports suggested that it is the right time for Real Madrid “move on the Cristiano Ronaldo era, but they will find it difficult to sell him.

“The stories surfacing at the moment suggest that Real and Ronaldo have tried to look for a way out this summer. The FIFA-imposed transfer ban leaves Real in a dilemma. If they decide to keep Ronaldo until the summer, the ban could see him stay for another year, so it’s either get rid of him now or in two years.”

“I must stress, though, at this particular time nobody is willing to pay what it would take to sign Ronaldo, which currently stands at €25 million (£19.5 million) net in wages, a long contract, and in excess of €60 million (£46.7 million) to Real Madrid.”

Juventus director general Giuseppe Marotta said he fears that Real will ponder return of Alvaro Morata in this summer.

“Real Madrid could see themselves obliged to repurchase the player, but in reality they might do it without having any sporting interest in Morata,” Marotta said. “We hope he is not repurchased to immediately make a profit on him. They would be within their rights. There is a time-frame to do that, and we don’t know if it will happen or not.
