Ricardo Quaresma says his Portuguese teammate Cristiano Ronaldo is the only player he admires following their 1-0 win over France in the final of Euro 2016.
Former Fulham man replaced Ronaldo in the first half of the game, after Real Madrid star was left injured by the tackle of Dmitri Payet.

The Portuguese skipper overcame his disappointment and delivered inspiration team-talk in the dressing room at the half time, and then from the sidelines to lift the spirit of his teammates, and Quaresma believes he played major part in their victory.
“Even with the injury (Ronaldo) never stopped, he always supported the team and that’s why I say, not just as a friend, that he is the only person I admire in football,” Quaresma was quoted as saying by Portuguese newspaper O Jogo on Monday.

“I admire the strength he has. We have a great captain, it is an honour to play alongside him and have him in the national team and all Portuguese people should be proud to have Cristiano.”
