Paul Pogba’s father has said that his son wants to play in better league in the wake of Real Madrid interest.

The French International is likely to leave Juventus in the summer, with Real Madrid and Manchester United are the front runners to acquire his services.

According to the reports, Pogba is willing  work under his footballing idol Zidane, which gives Real Madrid extra edge in his chase.

However, as per English media, Manchester United has move ahead of Real Madrid to resign Pogba, as they are ready to meet his asking price.

And speaking about Real Madrid move his father said:

“It would be interesting for the family if Paul [Pogba] signed for Real Madrid,” he told Deportes Cuatro.

“We would like him to play in a better league, but it is up to him to decide what team he wants to play for and that is the situation we currently find ourselves in.”

Meanwhile, Real Madrid have suffered blow in their chase of signing Neymar, after Brazilian has agreed new 5-years deal with Barcelona.

The official statement on Barcelona website reads:

“FC Barcelona and the player Neymar Jr. have signed a contract extension for the footballer which will keep him at the Club for the next five seasons, until 30 June 2021.

“The player’s buy out clause has been fixed at 200 million Euros for the first year of his contract, 222 million for the second and 250 million for the remaining three years.

On 15 July in Barcelona, before the player joins up with the Brazilian national side for the Olympic Games, the agreement will be presented formally.”
