Manchester United icon has tipped French sensation to follow the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo
Manchester United legend Eric Cantona has backed Anthony Martial to follow the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford.
Manchester United paid the odds to sign the French International, yet player has lived up according to his price tag.
Since his debut against Liverpool, former Monaco man has proved that he is the real deal, and has been compared with Ronaldo, and compatriot Cantona.

Cantona suggested that Martial has skills of Brazilian Ronaldo, and lauded his decision to join Manchester United, as Old Traffrod is the best place to nurture talent.
“He’s very mature for his age. I think he’s the same kind of player as Ronaldo,” he told MUTV. “Of course Ronaldo is a Brazilian, but he’s as strong as him. Martial is skilful, he wants to score goals and he has good vision.
At Manchester, it’s a great club for young players when you are in the academy and also when you are 18, 19 or 20 years old,” he continued.

“[At that age] you need to go and play for a great team and also you need to work with people who will help you because you’re still a young player, just as [Cristiano] Ronaldo, the Portuguese Ronaldo, did when he came to play for United and for [Sir Alex] Ferguson.
“He had the opportunity to win trophies, but also Ferguson helped him to be the player he is today.
“And I think he [Martial] has been very clever to choose Manchester United.”
While, Morata has revealed that he is uncertain about his future, and only focused on Euros .
“It’s not my last game of the season as I have to play in the Euros,” Morata told Rai Sport.
“I have to make the most of my current form and not even think about the future.”
