Kroos reveals what was the reaction of Real Madrid players after Ancelotti sacking

German midfielder Toni Kroos revealed Real Madrid players were left disappointed after hearing about the sacking of Carlo Ancelotti.

After ending Real Madrid long awaited dream of la decima, and delivering the domestic success in the form of Copa Del Rey, it seemed like Carlo Ancelotti would stay at Santiago Bernabéu  for the long run.

But, Los Blancos inability to win any piece of silverware in the season 2014-15, was not tolerated by Real Madrid president Perez, which led to the departure of Italian.

Real Madrid became the most successful club in the history of European Football, after winning the Champions League for record tenth time since the inception of the inter European club competition. At that time Real’s arch-rivals Barcelona were dealing with their problem of their own, it seemed like  Los Blancos under the charismatic management of  Carlo Ancelotti could dominate the European and domestic fronts for years to come.

However, former Chelsea manager was shown a door by ruthless Perez, with  Rafa Benitez‘s becoming the head coach of Real Madrid at the start of the season.

And Toni Kroos feels that Real Madrid players still miss the presence of Italian in the dressing room, as he was top quality coach.

“He’s the one coach who best succeeds in combining the key ingredients to success: tactical nous and a humane side, which is far from easy, particularly at Real Madrid.
