How Real Madrid transfer ban will affect the future of Cristiano Ronaldo?
Real Madrid and their arch-rivals Atletico Madrid have been banned from registering new players, for next two transfer windows, after they have been found guilty of breaching the FIFA rules of the international transfer for registration of the players under the age of 18.
Real Madrid transfer ban will affect the future of Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo, who has contract with Real Madrid until June 2018, has been linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabéu at the end of season. Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are willing to pay odds for the Portuguese International, with player himself looking for new challenge after spending six years at Spanish Capital.
However, with FIFA has slapped transfer ban on Real Madrid, Los Blancos are barred for signing new players for next two years and under these circumstances they cannot afford to lose their top performers at any cost. While Spanish giants will be allowed to bring and sell players in January, before winter transfer window slams shut at the end of month. But, it seems highly unlikely newly appointed Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane will sanction the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Although, Real Madrid have to react quickly to make most of winter transfer window, if they want to sign David de Gea.
Here is FIFA statement confirming Real Madrid and Atletico transfer ban.
“The two clubs were found to have violated several provisions concerning the international transfer and first registration of minor players as well as other relevant provisions with regard to the registration and participation of certain players in competitions.
“Additionally, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid have been fined CHF 900,000 and CHF 360,000 respectively, while both clubs have been issued with a reprimand and given 90 days in which to regularise the situation of all minor players concerned.”
