However, speaking ahead of Real Madrid‘s Champions league game with AS Roma, Portuguese was asked about his relationship with his striking partners Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema, to which Ronaldo compared to his situation at Old Trafford.
“Is that what you read or what they say? I’m going to tell you something. I won the Champions League with Manchester United and I didn’t speak with [Paul] Scholes, [Ryan] Giggs and [Rio] Ferdinand beyond a ‘hello,’” began his pointed reply, AS reports.

“And yet we had a great team. I don’t have to dine with Benzema or invite him to my house. What’s important is on the pitch. I don’t need kisses and cuddles.
I feel good and happy at a club that shows me affection, where I always play, where from time to time I score goals. I couldn’t be happier. I’m at the best club in the world.”
Ferdinand, who appeared on BT Sport during Chelsea’s defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, was asked about his reaction on Ronaldo’s claim.
