“I think we’ve seen the change of a player. We’ve seen Ryan Giggs go from a flying winger to somebody who played all the more halfway as a midfielder. We’re seeing Cristiano now as an inside forward.”

“He knows he can’t go all over all the time now. He knows he can’t go past players regularly. He’ll turn into a goal scorer, a poacher and a decent one.”

Gary Neville said he could see Ronaldo playing for longer than Messi. And scoring a larger number of goals than his Argentine opponent.

“He’ll be thinking Pele. Those figures. Those shocking numbers you want to never accomplish. The appearances, the goals, and that to me is the place it’s going,” he included.

“Since he’s gone to Real Madrid he’s contributed tremendously to all that they’ve done. Yet he’s living more off minutes as opposed to a commitment through an entire an hour and a half.”
