Former Atletico boss wants to manage Real Madrid

Ex Atletico de Madrid manager Quique Sanchez Flores admitted that he would like to manage Real Madrid, if European giants ask him to take charge at Santiago Bernabeu.

Quique Sanchez Flores has honor of playing in the Real Madrid colours in the mid 90’s , and the Madrid born manager has the desire to manage Real Madrid in the near future. During his time at the Real’s derby rivals  Atletico de Madrid, he led the club to the Europa League, but was unable to taste domestic success in form Copa Del Rey, after losing to Sevilla in 2010.

The former Real Madrid star is currently in the charge of the Premier League side Watford after joining the side during the summer. While his interview with  Radio 4G, he was asked whether he would like to manage Real Madrid if he gets a chance. However, the more important thing for him to define his footballing philosophy and work according to it. Quique Sanchez Flores admitted that taking the charge Real Madrid is the dream of every Coach, although, before  taking the most demanding job in the World, he will sit down with players and boardroom staff, Sanchez Flores will explain his footballing vision.

The  50-year-old  said:

” I would be up for coaching Real Madrid, but I would try to explain my ideas before taking the position. The most important thing would be to define my footballing philosophy long before getting down to work with the players.”

Premier league has fallen behind Spanish La-Liga in the recent years, with teams from the Spain become so dominating in the European competition, he was asked which league is better:

“No, I don’t think that the Premier League is any better. They’re by far the best leagues in the world and they’re both different, but one is not any better than the other.”
