Wolfsburg Coach Dieter Hecking has said that Real Madrid left-back Marcelo deserved a red card  for an altercation with Maxi Arnold.

Real Madrid lost 2-0 in their first leg tie of the Champions league away from the home, speaking to the reporters after the game Hecking was quick to point out Marcelo’s incident.

“It was because of the situation with Arnold. I didn’t think the yellow card he got was deserved,” Hecking said, AS reports, after Marcelo appeared to kick out at the scorer of Wolfsburg’s second goal, then feign a facial injury when the midfielder barely reacted.

“You don’t have to act as he has. Marcelo in that situation deserved a red card.”
