Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic has denied that he wants Real Madrid to win the Champions league.
The former Sevilla man was quoted by the Croatian media outlets that 28-years old has backed Barcelona arch rivals Real Madrid to lift the Champions league, as it will serve as massive confident booster for Luka Modric ahead of Euros 2016.

“I hope Real Madrid win the Champions League with Luka Modric, to boost our national team at Euro 2016,” he told Tportal

Rakitic’s comments was picked by the Spanish press, and player was forced to clarify that his remarks was taken out of the context, as he only wished his national teammate good luck.

Lucas Vazquez says that Real Madrid was expecting a difficult game against Rayo Vallecano, but they are happy to earn three points to stay in the title race.
