Telmo Zarraonandia Montoya held the record for scoring most Spanish league goals untill it was surpassed by Messi on November 22, 2014. His 81 goals in the Copa del Rey still remain a record in the football history. Spanish footballer Telmo Zarra scored a total of 251 goals in 278 La Liga matches in his club career from 1940 till 1955. He achieved 0.90 goals per match ratio while playing in the Spanish league and is inducted in the second place in our list of 10 All Time Top Scorers of La Liga for scoring second most goals in the League’s history. Zarra, in his La Liga career, scored a total of 251 goals in 277 matches while playing for Athletic Bilbao between 1940 and 1955. Besides his club career, he also scored a total of 20 goals in 20 international appearances for the Spanish national football team from 1945 till 1951.

  1. In my opinion, Cristiano Ronaldo has the opportunity to be the best striker of Real Madrid. He’s doing extremely well, probably will win UCL this year.
