Real Madrid and Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo was always sure he would win the inaugural The Best FIFA Men’s Player award. This is the fourth time that Ronaldo won the FIFA Best Player award. The forward was reported as the winner of the honor at a function in Zurich on Monday, beating his fellow finalists Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann.
Ronaldo said he never questioned he would secure the prize, having scored 55 objectives in 57 matches for club and nation crosswise over 2016. finished off 2016 with a number of awards, and he went on to say that it was the most successful year of his career. and to cap that, 2017 began with his amazing honour!
“[It’s] amazing, amazing! To be honest I was confident to win this trophy. It was amazing.,” he gushed, further adding, “When you work during the year, hard, and of course when you win the collective awards and after the individual, for me it’s amazing.”
His success of 2016 added to the Ballon d’Or crown which was the biggest honour Ronaldo grabbed that year, having driven Real Madrid to Champions League radiance last season and Portugal to the Euro 2016 title.
