Real Madrid will Sell Ronaldo by 2019 to China – Really?

Sit down if you’re standing, take your tissues out, too. Because, here’s some news that is going to break your heart to a thousand pieces, and might make you faint. If rumours are to be believed, Real Madrid will sell Ronaldo by 2019 to China! We have been hearing a lot about how a club in China has offered to pay 300 million Euros to get Ronaldo, but the Real Madrid player had confirmed that for him, football is more than just earning money. But it seems that Cristiano Ronaldo is to be sold by Real Madrid, after all, and by 2019, China will be the Euro 2016 winner’s most likely destination.

Ronaldo, 31, signed a new five-year deal worth £365,000-a-week last year but Perez wants to sell his star player to make back some money. Spanish publication Don Balon are claiming that Florentino Perez wants to send the former Manchester United attacker to China before his contract runs out and make back some of the £80m he cost. Reports suggest he could sell Ronaldo in the summer 0f 2018 to a Chinese club – and that he has wanted to flog the Euro 2016 winner for two years.

Perez is wary of Ronaldo’s influence in the Madrid dressing room and was angry when he sided with Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos during a row. Don Balon also claim Perez thinks Ronaldo has seen his best years and the time has come for the attacker to be sold. The sale of Ronaldo would help Madrid to make back some of the £80million that was spent to bring him to the Bernabeu back in 2009. And Chinese clubs would be more than willing to splash out on the Fifa Best Player of the Year as they continue to spend big to bring the best players to their league.

Ronaldo has 18 goals in 22 games for Real this season and is the club’s all-time leading goalscorer with 382 in 370 games and won two Champions Leagues during his seven years in the Spanish capital. Carlos Tevez was recently made the highest-paid player in world football after agreeing a move to Shanhai Shenua – but if Ronaldo’s move materialises he would double his income. Not only would Ronaldo shatter Tevez’s leading income for a footballer, but he would almost triple Paul Pogba’s world record £100million move to Manchester United in the summer.

BUT… there’s hope, after all! Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, squashed the rumours within an instant by saying the Portugal captain is dedicated to Los Blancos. Mendes told Sky Sports Italia: “From China they’ve offered €300million to Real Madrid and more than €100m per year to the player [Ronaldo].” Well, that’s good news. Right?
