Mateo Kovacic‘s agent has insisted that he has future at Real Madrid, amid  Premier league interest.

“I haven’t spoken to the club, there’s no need,” the agent told Sportske Novosti.

“He’s now fighting for a spot in the team like everyone else is apart from Cristiano [Ronaldo], who’s the only one with a confirmed place in the starting line-up.

“The rumours are always to be expected at this time of year because we’re in the summer market, but Kovacic is still at Madrid, plus the Coach trusts him, is helping him and supporting him.

“Each player must prove they are worth a place in the team, and it’s even more complicated at Madrid.”

“My future is close to being decided. My family, my representatives and Palmeiras know where I want to go, but at the moment I’m totally focused on getting gold with the national team,” AS cites the Brazilian as saying.
