The Portuguese Prime Minister didn’t return empty-handed; in fact, Modi gave him quite a special gift. He received an English translation of a book writer by his father, Orlando da Costa, who is a famous author, and is of a Goan descent. In fact, the 150-year old hereditary house of the Coastas is in Rua Abade Faria, located in the heart of Margao in Goa.

The two ministers engaged in bilateral talks, and a cultural exchange, as they released memorial stamps highlighting two dance forms, one from each country. And amidst this culturally significant exchange between the representatives of the two countries, Cristiano Ronaldo played his own part, adding value to a gift presented from one country to the other. It definitely says clearly what an important name Ronaldo is for Portugal, and to the world! We might as well say that it is a big honour for Ronaldo to be considered worthy of adding his autograph to a jersey to elevate its value and make it fit to be presented to the PM of another country!
