Florentino Perez gives update on Real Madrid transfer activity

Speaking on Real Madrid transfer activity, Florentino Perez says it is difficult to improve the current squad,  but will sign new players if needed.

“We’ve got an extraordinary squad. We’ve still got to work very hard and our ambition is always to win it all. We’ve got a great player in every position on the pitch,” he told the club’s official website.

“Until August 31, anything can happen, but we are very satisfied with the squad we have,” Perez said post-match.

“I have no thoughts about it. Pogba is a United player, and that’s it. I wish him the best,” he said.

“We have many players and I am not going to say that I am asking for another midfielder. All those who stay will be important. Anything could happen.”

Perez highlighted the impact of Real Madrid academy and youth setup, following the phenomenal rise of Marco Asensio, who scored the exceptional goal in the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla, and had a great pre-season.

“In the first half, we had five-six canteranos. In principle, it’s very difficult to have every player you want on the park, and that’s why these matches are so contested. I want to congratulate Sevilla, who played a great game,” Perez continued.

“When you win in the last moment, you suffer a lot in the meantime.”

While, Isco’s father, Paco Alcorcon has insisted that his son wants to sign new contract with Real Madrid, amid Milan links.

“He wants to carry on at Real Madrid and hopes to renew his contract,” revealed Paco Alcorcon.

“It’s true that there have been several big clubs interested in him, but we are not interested in rumours.

“There has been no concrete offer, neither from Milan nor any other team. The only thing Isco is thinking about is staying at Madrid and renewing his contract.”
