David Villa believes his former club Atletico Madrid has enough quality to compete with Real Madrid and Barca in La-Liga title race.

Villa has backed Diego Simeone to lead  Atletico to another La-Liga title and hailed him as one of the best manager in the World.

 Simeone guided Atletico Madrid to the La-Liga title in 2013 and broke the dominance of big two, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

“He’s one of the best coaches in the world. I was lucky to train with him for a year,” added the 34-year-old,

“The guys at Atletico Madrid are so proud to see them make the final again.

“I am sure if they keep working the same they will keep going and can finish the deal.”

While, Sevilla president Jose Castro has described UEFA Super Cup defeat against  Real Madrid as the near miss but says team can not be happy with the result, despite of their spirited display.

We can’t be happy because we had the title in our hands and lost it,” lamented Castro during the official presentation of recent signing Gabriel Mercado.

“We hoped the third goal of the game would have won it for us but with a player less it became more difficult,”

“The defeat must inspire us to overcome Barca, although we know how difficult that is, but we are going to try and win it, which is important.

“Strange things happen in pre-season, so why can’t we win? Last year Athletic Bilbao did it and it’s true that just a few days ago we made a titanic effort against Barca.

“There are still a few things to be polished within the squad but we have seen a lot of good things,” he concluded.
