Danilo vows to win over Real Madrid fans, after being booed by the home fans in Real Madrid 4-0 win over Eibar on Saturday.

The Brazilian was subject of jeers, after he replaced Dani Carvajal in the second half for his display against Wolfsburg in the Champions league.

“I know what it means to defend this badge,” he wrote on his official Instagram account.

“I also know the demands of our fans. I’m very proud to be at Real Madrid and have these fans.

“Our focus is already on Tuesday [referring to the Champions League tie against Wolfsburg, with Los Blancos 2-0 down from the first leg]. Let’s go get ‘em!”!

Real Madrid manager Zidane says he was bothered with the reaction of fans.

“[On Danilo boos], all the players have been booed here, but it’s slowly getting better.

“Of course it bothers you, especially when you’re the target, but he knows what he has to do, he’s a good guy and we like him a lot.

“Now we must forget about this little thing. I hoped Danilo would score from his chanc. I wanted to rest Dani too, but booing always bothers me.”

Dani Carvajal also echoed his manager views on Danilo’s boos, and says he is looking forward for Real’s most important game of season on Tuesday.

“The Coach told us to go for them from the beginning as we’d enjoy the game more that way.

“Tuesday will be a war. Eighty-thousand will play against Wolfsburg [referring to their fans].

“Here with our fans, it’s not utopian to win and turn [the tie] around. We’ll die to get past our opponents.”
