Ronaldo was only too happy to oblige, signing the autographs and giving one of the lads a hug before sending them on their way.
Not content with that, the former Manchester United forward then went on to rescue his side with a sensational hat-trick, giving them a vital 3-2 win to stay top of their qualifying group.

He scored from the spot in the first half, levelling the scores after Armenia had taken the lead with a thunderous free kick, before giving his side the lead from inside the area in the second period.
Ronaldo then completed his hat-trick, crashing home a 30-yard piledriver into the top corner, past the onlooking keeper.

Tiago’s red card and a further goal for Armenia made for a nervy finish, but the Portuguese held on.

The goals were Ronaldo’s 53rd, 54th and 55th strikes for his country, taking him further clear as Portugal’s top goalscorer.
