Alvaro Morata has described at Juventus as two long years, after his Real Madrid return.

“There are times when you need to mature. I’ve come to give up my life [for Madrid], as I’ve always done.”

It’s been a very tranquil summer. I knew I’d go back to Real Madrid,” the striker said.

“The club have put a lot of faith in me, along with the Coach and rest of the team.

“[On Madrid’s canteranos], it’s clear that they are the best team in the world.

“The cantera works and I keep telling them to fight for their dreams. There are many home-grown players in the dressing room.

“We go to dinner together and make plans together. Isco, Nacho [Fernandez], [Dani] Carvajal, myself … we all understand each other.

“The Coach is the one that decides [whether I play]. Clearly, I’d like to play every Sunday and I’ll make it difficult [for Zinedine Zidane].

“I’ve spoken to Zidane and he’s given me confidence. The ‘BBC’ are from another world. If I only thought about myself, I’d be playing tennis or chess.

“I’d love to win it all this season. I think I’m at the best club in the world and hopefully, I can win many more trophies here.

“I come here with the motivation of scoring important goals. I’d give anything to score a goal for Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals.

“My welcome has been the best. From the first day, [my teammates] were cracking jokes with me and took care of me. It couldn’t have gone any better.”
