Hugo Sánchez Márquez started his Spanish league career with Atlético Madrid after he moved from Pumas de la UNAM in 1981. He was a leading member of the Mexican national team that reached the quarterfinals of the 1986 FIFA World Cup. Mexican footballer Hugo Sánchez scored a total of 234 goals in 347 La Liga matches in his club career from 1981 till 1994. He achieved 0.67 goals per match ratio while playing in the Spanish league and is inducted in the third place in our list of 10 All Time Top Scorers of La Liga for scoring third most goals in the League’s history. Sánchez, in his La Liga career, scored a total of 164 goals in 207 matches while playing for Real Madrid between 1985 and 1992. Besides his club career, he also scored a total of 29 goals in 58 international appearances for the Mexican national football team from 1977 till 1994.

  1. In my opinion, Cristiano Ronaldo has the opportunity to be the best striker of Real Madrid. He’s doing extremely well, probably will win UCL this year.
